The new Cadillac XLR was touted as the most exciting Cadillac since the 1967 Eldorado, and was welcomed by the automotive press as a step in the right direction. So when the XLR-V was introduced, it was no surprise that it was met with overwhelming approval. The V option featured a new supercharged version of the 4.4-liter Northstar engine that churned out 443 bhp 414 lb-ft of torque, almost 90 percent of which was available by 2200rpm. This abundance of power put the V in the sub-six-second 60mph club.

Mallet Cars soon introduced a Hammer package for the XLR-V that added numerous improvements to an already great car. This is one of five 2007 XLR-V Cadillacs given the Mallet treatment that added approximately $38,000 to the initial $100,000 price tag. Black on Black and with only 680 miles since new, this gorgeous V-Hammer is equipped with all available factory options. Ported and polished heads, modifications to the supercharger, intake and exhaust manifolds, a complete Corsa exhaust system and a computer control upgrade add up to a reliable 550hp.

Chassis mods include a lowered suspension, upgraded disc brakes, and Michelin Pilot tires on 20-inch custom alloy wheels. Fast, handsome and comfortable, this is one awesome Cadillac!

The Corvette Leadfoot Challenge is a friendly inter-club competition between various Corvette clubs in Australia. The 2006 event was special because a legally blind Corvette owner got to drive his car for the first time.

A children's home destroyed by fire now has local organizations reaching out to help. The Emerald Coast Corvette Club considers themselves lucky to be able to afford nice cars, and able to give to their community, especially when tragedy strikes.

While at the General Motors Corvette Racing Detroit Grand Prix kickoff pep rally 8/28/07, this team member whipped out his axe and ripped the Star Spangled Banner like Hendrix for the world to hear. This took place on the waterfront of the Detroit River behind the GM world HQ - facing Windsor, Canada. Race team and GM honchos on stage. Seated to left you see Roger Penske, Tom Wallace, Doug Fehan et al. On stage is Troy Clarke GM Pres, Ed Peper Chevy Boss, and the C6-R drivers.
