My car was damaged very badly when I hit the 2002 Mercedes Benz in the middle on the drivers door as they entered Jericho Tpke in Smithtown NY without looking. I had an established right of way my insurance co. says & its 100% the other drivers fault. Both cars are damaged very bad. Everyone including me was taking by ambulance to Saint Catherine's hospital on 25a. In Smithtown NY."

An 87-year-old man who was given an honorary ride around the Texas Motor Speedway to reward him for years of generosity as a blood donor was killed when the car he was riding in crashed. His dream was do 100 mph in a Corvette around the racetrack.

Fred Krusemark of Dallas, a World War II Navy veteran, was being honored on Saturday by Carter BloodCare for years of making blood donations. The Corvette crashed and Krusemark died of blunt force trauma to the head and neck, the Denton County Medical Examiner's Office said.

Drunk driver loses control of Corvette in San Antonio, TX.

Corvette Racing driver Jan Magnussen almost saw the top of the podium during the American Le Mans Series finale at Laguna Seca, but instead he saw the track-side hospital. Magnussen, driving the No. 3 Compuware Corvette C6.R spent the last several laps of the race battling alonside Jörg Bergmeister in the Flying Lizard Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, before crashing into the wall just feet from the finish line, allowing the Porsche to finish first just 1.037 seconds ahead. (CBS) ANAHEIM, Calif. One man was hurt when his Corvette slammed into another vehicle in Anaheim Tuesday morning, said officials from the California Highway Patrol. The accident took place on Harbor Boulevard, near the Riverside (91) Freeway, after 12:15 a.m. According to witnesses, the man driving the Corvette was trapped in his car for about 30 minutes before firefighters could free him. His condition has not been reported.

A northeast Bend man was without a car Monday after police say a drunk driver drove an SUV right up on top of his prized Corvette.

The accident happened just after 1 a.m. Monday when the car was parked in front of Tyler King's home on Hunters Circle off Cooley Road.

King was relaxing at home watching a late movie when policed rang his doorbell And when he stepped out onto his front porch, he didn't even recognize what was left of his Corvette.

When King walked out to his front porch, he saw an SUV had been driven up the front of his Corvette and came to rest on top of it.

"Tha's like the love of my life right there, it's the only thing I've ever wanted to drive. And now it's gone, because of a drunk driver," said King.

Bend police responded to the scene and said the driver, 18-year old Connor Sawyer, had fled the scene, but the heavy snowfall made it easy to find him.

"The officers that arrived on scene were able to follow some footprints in the snow" to a house down the street, where the driver was taken into custody on DUII and other charges, said Traffic Officer John Beck. v King said his car was pushed more than 30 feet from where it was parked. According to police, even at low speeds, the icy roads can cause major damage.

As for King will do now, he said, "I guess with the insurance, I can get like a rental car, or I guess I can drive my mom's car."v According to police, Sawyer was driving his mother's SUV.

King said his roommate's car was hit while parked weeks earlier in the same spot. He said he is not sure if the insurance will be enough to help him purchase a new car.
